4/11/2002 Itronix Earns a Sears 'Partner in Progress' Award for 2001 SPOKANE, WA - (April 15, 2002) - Itronix Corporation, a world leader in the design and manufacture of ruggedized, wireless mobile computing solutions, has been named a Sears Partner In Progress Award Winner for 2001. The award, presented annually to the vendor companies making the biggest contributions to Sears, Roebuck and Co. business growth and customer service, was presented at an event hosted by Sears Chairman and CEO Alan J. Lacy. Sears bestowed the award this year on fewer than 110 of more than 10,000 suppliers who are suppliers to Sears. "Sears suppliers are critical to the success of our company as we strive to make our stores even more focused on delivering the goods and services our customers expect," said Sears Chairman and CEO Alan J. Lacy. "Of the thousands of suppliers with whom we do business, our Partners in Progress award recipients have demonstrated the highest level of commitment, quality and leadership -- attributes we strive to achieve in everything we do at Sears." This year's award marks the fourth time that Itronix has been named a Partner In Progress. The company was recognized this year for its effort to provide 100% wireless connectivity for Sears’ service technicians, for piloting the concept to more than 700 technicians throughout the United States, and for Itronix’s ongoing technical support and call center services for the 12,000 Sears mobile-dispatched service technicians. In 2001 more than 14 million wireless service orders were completed on Itronix equipment. "Itronix is thrilled to receive the Sears Partner In Progress award," said Itronix CEO Tom Turner. "This fourth award is significant because it recognizes both the products and the service that Itronix can deliver to enable organizations like Sears operate more efficiently. The Partner In Progress program, begun almost 20 years ago, recognizes suppliers that make significant contributions to the growth of Sears businesses and that create new ways to better serve Sears customers. The winners are selected from nominations submitted by Sears corporate support organizations. |
