9/21/2001 Spokane company's laptops aiding disaster relief By Tom Sowa, Spokesman Review Twenty super-tough laptops made by Spokane's Itronix Inc. have been donated to emergency teams coordinating the World Trade Center disaster-relief effort. The company was contacted last week by federal and state agencies involved in searching for survivors and clearing the site around the collapsed New York towers. Officials contacted Itronix because the laptops the Spokane company designs and makes are durable, said Don Ponikvar, a Washington, D.C., anti-terrorist consultant.
